David M. Dye is the founder and president of Trailblaze, Inc, a Denver-based leadership coaching, consulting and training business. He is a professional speaker, trainer, and facilitator who works with leaders focused on productivity and employee engagement. David specializes in working with leaders at every level to improve organizational efficiency, communication, and employee motivation.
David started his career as an educator, teaching leadership, history, and public speaking to urban high school students. He went on to serve as an elected city councilman and as Chief Operating Officer for Colorado UpLift where he trained leaders and helped build organizations in New York, Orlando, Phoenix, and Portland. He has coached leaders in more than 2000 sessions and serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Chapters of the National Speakers Association and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
Following his nonprofit career, David founded Trailblaze, Inc. to meet the needs of leaders who want to build energized, motivated, and productive teams. He believes that skillful leaders at every level are essential to a positive future and that everyone can master the essentials of influence. David shares tools that he honed in arenas where influence is the only avenue to success.
David is known for his optimism, for making difficult concepts understandable, and for moving leaders to immediate, practical action. His workshops, presentations, and seminars help leaders increase their influence, solve common leadership frustrations, and improve productivity through people-centered leadership.
David holds a master’s degree in nonprofit management, a B.A. in political science, and is a member of the American Society of Training and Development and the National Speakers Association.
